The colorful houses lining the harbor of Tobermory shape the scenery of the place. Local folklore tells of a Spanish wreck lying somewhere in the bay, often reported to have been laden with gold.
The Shiants are a small group of islands in the Hebrides, Scotland. There is a large population of seabirds on the isles, including, rumour has it, Europe's oldest Puffin. The Shiants are also the only place in the UK where the black rat (or ship's rat) can still be found.
Inverewe Gardens is a world-famous historic garden and one of Scotland’s most popular botanical attractions. It is located at the edge of Loch Ewe amid the rugged landscape of Wester Ross. Created out of bare rock and a few scrub willows in 1862, it is now a lush, sub-tropical-style oasis.
St Kilda is an isolated volcanic island group that belongs to Scotland. The islands lies in the North Atlantic. The main island of Hirta, whose cliffs are the highest in the UK. St. Kilda was inhabited at least two thousand years continuously, though the population probably never exceeded 180. Currently, military personnel are the only inhabitants.
Foula is one of the Shetland Islands in Scotland and is one of the most remote islands of the United Kingdom. It is a permanently inhabited island despite its remoteness and has a population of 30. Sheep and pony farming are their main source of income.

With nearly 10 000 inhabitants, Fort William is the largest city in the western Scottish Highlands. It lies on the shores of Loch Linhe and is located very close to Ben Nevis the highest mountain in Britain. Along with Ben Nevis, another must see sight is the impressive Glen Coe valley.
