Fort de France is the capital of Martinique and one of the largest cities of the island. Fort de France offers many attractions, the famous Museum of banana plantations and the Habitation Limbé tell a lot about the history of the city and the island. Even the statue of the empress Joséfine, wife of Napoleon is impressive. Martinique is typical of the market on which especially spices and fruits are traded. You can also enjoy the most beautiful gardens in the Caribbean, the Balata Botanical Garden.

Union Island is one of the islands of the independent island nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and is located in the Caribbean Sea. Geographically, the island belongs to the Grenadines. The mountainous landscape makes the island a volcanic silhouette, which is why Union Iceland is also known as Tahiti of the West Indies.

Port Elizabeth is the capital city of the Bequia Island that is part of the Grenadines. The Admiralty Bay, where the city is located, is considered one of the most photogenic bays in the whole of the Caribbean. The bay is surrounded by spectacular green hills, dotted with cute old-fashioned cottages, while the water is full of modern state-of-the-art yachts. Port Elizabeth is as simple and laid-back as it gets in the Caribbean, there are chickens wandering the streets and some low key restaurants and bars along the waterfront.

The Iles des Saintes got its name from the Portuguese seafarer Christopher Columbus, who set foot on the island on All Saints day in 1493 and names it after the holiday. After long battles between England and France over the island group, it eventually officially became part of France in the year 1816.
