Nice is the capital of the Cote d'Azur. With almost 350,000 inhabitants, Nice is also the fifth largest city in France. Its geographically and climatically favorable location makes Nice a very popular location for tourists.

Ajaccio, Corsica's capital, exudes Mediterranean, like most the towns along the Cote d'Azur. One of the attractions of the city's Musée Fesch, which houses a large collection of Italian paintings from the 14th to 18th Century and the cathedral Notre Dame de la Misericorde. Visitors enjoy varying landscapes, with rugged canyons on rushing rivers,great lakes and stunning cliffs.

Villa Franche-sur-Mer is located on the beautiful Cote d'Azur and is the largest cruise port in France.

The Italian town of Santa Margherita, in Ligure, is located in the province of Genoa in the middle of the Gulf of Tigullio. Santa Margherita is an elegant little harbor town with around 9,915 inhabitants and is well known among locals simply just Santa. The port serves not only as an anchorage for traditional fishing boats and yachts, but also as the starting point of some water sports, such as Regattas.

Livorno is situated on the Western coast of Tuscany, and is a major Italian port. In spite of the large-scale destruction during the second World War II, the city still has many historic buildings, most of which can be explored with guided tours. The Fortezza Vechia is an example of these historic forts and climbing to the top of the Mástio di Matilde will provide you with a great view of the city and port. The Terrazza Mascagni is a wide promenade on the waterfront and is ideal for taking a stroll and enjoying the views as the sun goes down on the Ligurian Sea.

Provence is a geographical region and historical province of southeastern France. While it has been part of France for more than five hundred years, it still retains a distinct cultural and linguistic identity, particularly in the interior of the region.

Sète is known for its culinary delights on offer, espcially with its many fish restaurants and Mediterranean specialities. Here an experience worth having is to go through the canals on a rented houseboat leading to Toulouse or in the direction of Rhone.

Palamos is located in northeastern Spain on the Costa Brava. Located at the foot of the coastal mountain Massis de les Gavarres, wide sandy beaches and beautiful bays are a common sight here. As with many coastal town in Italy, seafood are a specialty.

Port Mahon is on the Balearic island of Menorca. The sister island of Majorca offers a particularly beautiful natural landscape. There are still many undeveloped beaches, small coves and great fauna and flora. In Mahon are also many historical buildings, museums and shops.
