Celebrity Solsticetravel tips

Life On Board

The ship is famous for its Alaska itineraries, so book and cruise to the legendary US state in great style and comfort. Visit spectacular places like Ketchikan, Endicott Arm, Juneau and the Inside Passage. Get on board in Sydney in October or March and discover fabulous destinations along the east coast of Australia, such as Airlie Beach and Cairns, explore Darwin and continue on to Bali and Singapore. Celebrity Cruises is a Premium Class cruise line, meaning that its ships, including the Celebrity Solstice, are much more adult-oriented, although still family-friendly. The brand is also famous for its Accessible Cruising concept that includes wheelchair accessible cabins and decks, plus autism-friendly kids’ clubs and restaurant menus.

Accommodation

The Celebrity Solstice is a cut above the average in terms of accommodation. An astonishing 85% of cabins have private balconies. Each features an interactive television that supplies information about upcoming events, shore excursions and enables guests to order room service. As well as the regular cabin categories, the ship boasts an AquaClass category designed to create an ambience of wellness. Enjoy complimentary dining at Blu – an exclusive specialty restaurant, a personal Spa concierge and unlimited access to the Persian Garden. Go all out and book one of the Retreat Suites and revel in luxury. A private butler, exclusive events, lounges and restaurants, inclusions like premium drinks, tips and Wi-Fi are just some of the things you can look forward to.

Food & Drink

Dining on board the Celebrity Solstice is a true aesthetic experience. The meticulous waiters and waitresses will ensure you want for nothing as you settle down to enjoy your evening. There are so many restaurants and cafés to choose from, you can dine at a different one every evening. Complimentary restaurants include the Main Dining Room with beautiful regionally inspired dishes and Oceanview Café that serves all your international favourites. Pay a little extra at Sushi on Five and feast on a traditional Japanese fare with a modern twist, or enjoy a fusion of entertainment and food at Le Petit Chef. The exclusive Blu and Luminae restaurants are accessible to AquaClass and Retreat guests and offer cutting-edge dining.

Entertainment

Discover some of the most innovative entertainment at sea, like captivating stage productions and live concerts at the Theatre or game shows like Deal or No Deal where everyone can play along and win up to $5000 or a free cruise. Dance the night away to the hits of the last few decades at the Club, or become the master of your own mix during a Silent Disco. Soak up the sun at the Lawn Club, a unique area on the top deck that’s covered in real grass, and splash around in numerous swimming pools. There are enrichment programmes and workshops for those longing to sink their teeth into something new, and a Casino if you want to try your luck.

Health & Fitness

Escape the action on board, book some ‘you time’ at the Spa that offers over 120 unique treatments, and come out feeling renewed and rejuvenated. Ideal Image Ocean offers many firsts at sea, like CoolSculpting – a fat reduction procedure that requires no surgery. Experience aqua therapy environments like aromatic steam at the Persian Garden and become part of the Women in Wellness programme crafted by some of the most renowned professionals in the industry. Boost your energy at the Fitness Centre that’s equipped with revolutionary technology and offers a big range of exciting fitness classes like the HIIT, LIT Bungee Fit and many others. Professional instructors are at hand to help you work out and have fun at the same time.

Cruising with Children

Your kids are sure to have a blast with over 500 activities and fully customizable programmes at Camp at Sea. Every sailing features a schedule that fits the interests of the children on board. Special needs are catered to through sensory films, toys and menu options. Young adults of 13 to 17 hang out at the Teen Club – an exclusive space that offers silent discos, video game tournaments and other teen-specific events. The Captains, Cadets and Shipmates enjoy their own age-specific clubs with activities to suit, like learning camp songs and the basics of sailing, campouts and sports competitions. Spend quality time together on land with family-friendly shore excursions at over 300 destinations. Try hiking up volcanoes or swimming with dolphins.
