Melfjord is located on the Arctic Circle in Nordland, Norway. The large globe statue at the mouth of Melfjord serves to remind visitors that this is the beginning of the Arctic Circle. It is also in this region that visitors can make a trip to Norway’s second-largest glacier, Svartisen, and observe seals in their natural habitat.
