Tarragona is a port city located in the north-east of Spain on the Mediterranean Sea. The Roman ruins of Tarraco have been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The city is well known for its Portuguese colonial architecture found in its Pelourinho neighbourhood. It’s is also renown for its African influence which can be best experienced in the unique music and cuisine. The city is also considered the home of the Afro-Brazilian martial art Capoeira.
