Philipsburg is the capital of the overseas Dutch colony of St. Maarten. Boasting beautiful views of the Great Bay and the Great Salt Pond, it is an ideal location for a Caribbean holiday. Antigua is an island in the West Indies in the Caribbean region and it is the main island of the country of Antigua and Barbuda. Antigua means "ancient" in Spanish and was named by Christopher Columbus. In 1784 Admiral Horatio Nelson sailed to Antigua where he found warm, steady winds, a coastline of safe harbours, and a protective coral reef: the perfect environment to establish Great Britain's most important Caribbean base. Over 200 years later the same characteristics that attracted the Royal Navy have transformed Antigua in one of the Caribbean's premier tourist destinations.

Basseterre offers visitors a blend of beautiful beaches, landscapes and architectural reminders of the colonial history of the island. The city of Fort Lauderdale in the U.S. state of Florida and makes an ideal holiday destination. Due to the many canals in the city, Fort Lauderdale is also known as the American Venice. In the 1970's, the area was very popular with students celebrating Spring Break but these were replaced by cruise vacationers in recent years. Fort Lauderdale offers beautiful beaches, museums, the world's biggest everyday flea market and also the world's largest drive-in cinema, which has 13 screens.
