The city of Fort Lauderdale in the U.S. state of Florida and makes an ideal holiday destination. Due to the many canals in the city, Fort Lauderdale is also known as the American Venice. Punta Arenas, located on the southern most tip of Patagonia, is the southernmost major city in the world.
