The city itself boasts a laid-back lifestyle with a buzzing social scene evident through the presence of numerous cafés, clubs and restaurants. There are also a number of fantastic tourism resorts, adding to the reputation of Cairns as an Australian tourism hotspot.

Alotau is the capital of Papua New Guinea's Milne Bay Province, located in the south-east of the island. The town is spread out along picturesque hills and features a local market that attracts a great deal of activity. Don't miss out on trying some of the best regional cuisine at the local restaurants. Alotau serves as a great starting point for those moving on to the coves and islands of Milne Bay.
