Honfleur is located at the mouth of the Seine, as it flows into the English Channel. The port city is known for its shimmering light. Many painters used this region in the past as inspiration for for their artwork. One of the attractions, the Pont de Normandie, connects Honfleur and Le Havre. This bridge has a span of 856 m, the largest cable bridge in Europe. Among the attractions in Le Havre are the Church of St. Joseph, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Bridge of Normandy.
The peninsula of Portland is located in the south of England. Portland Harbour, since it's inception was home to a Royal Navy base until 1995 and is still one of the biggest man-made harbours in the world, and was used as part of the 2012 Olympic Games. The area is also known for Portland Stone, a special stone quarried here used in St Paul's Cathedral and United Nations Headquarters. Portland has always been a place of significance throughout history and so there is certainly something for everyone to discover here.
Fowey is a very small village on the mouth of the River Fowey. The Regatta in mid-August is the highlight of every year.
The Isles of Scilly are located approximately 45km southwest of Land's End at the western end of the English Channel. Due to its location on the Gulf Stream, the 140 islands that make up the archipelago have a very mild, almost subtropical climate and as a result have much subtropical flora.
Kinsale is a historic port and fishing town in County Cork, Ireland. Kinsale is a popular holiday resort for Irish and overseas tourists, that are attracted by prospects of yachting, sea angling and golf.
Fishguard is a coastal town in Pembrokeshire in the south-west of Wales. Known to locals as Abergwaun, the Welsh name for the town, Fishguard is in a deep valley at the mouth of the River Gwaun and has a breathtaking landscape, typical of Wales. The town is a great destination for history enthusiasts as it was the home of both Viking and Norman settlements as well as the site of the last invasion of Britain in 1797. Cruisers can also get a taste of more modern traditions in a British pub.
Warrenpoint is a small town in County Down, Northern Ireland. Just outside it is Narrow Water Castle built around 1568.
Portrush is a small town with about 6000 inhabitants in the county of Antrim, in Northern Ireland. Portrush offers two great beaches, which are used in summer for swimming and for concerts. In addition, tourists will find a small amusement park and the largest nightclub in Ireland, 'Kelly's'. The Royal Portrush Golf Club is one of the most elite golf clubs of Great Britain and hosted the British Open in 1951. Portrush is ideally located for excursions to some of the biggest tourist attractions in Northern Ireland, including the Giant's Causeway, the Bushmills whiskey brewery and Dunluce Castle. Outside the tourist season, Portrush is primarily a residential city for students from the nearby university in Coleraine.
