Balaton is Europe's largest freshwater lake located in western Hungary. It is one of the country's most popular summer resorts with its beaches, volcanic hills and picturesque towns. There is a wine growing region to the north, a castle to the west and numerous other attractions all arounf the Balaton.

Sisak is a city located in central Croatia, 57km from the capital city of Zagreb. The city lies at the joining point of three rivers: Kupa, Sava and Odra. The Lonjsko polje Nature Park stretches along the left bank of the river Sava, downstream from Sisak.

Slavonski Brod is a Croatian port city located by the Sava river. Known for its baroque fortress, which was used as a transit camp during World War II, Slavonski Brod is an important commercial junction for ship, road and rail traffic.

Brcko is a town located on the banks of the Sava River in northern Bosnia and Herzegovina. Beig the most ethnically mixed region of Bosnia, it has remained surprisingly untouched by the country's bloody hsitory.

Belgrade is the most populous city in Serbia, with an estimated 1.6 million inhabitants. Furthermore, it is also the economic, political and cultural capital of the country. The city offers theaters, music institutions, the aviation museum, monuments and 65 parks! Serbia has had a turbulent past, and visitors are reminded of this fact throughout the city, with evidence of bombed government buildings and Communist blocks.

Osijek is the largest city and the economic and cultural centre of the eastern Croatian. Osijek remains a popular domestic tourist destination for its Baroque style, open spaces and ample recreational opportunities. The most important sights in the city include the main square, the 18th century Baroque citadel, the promenade along the Drava ("promenada") and the suspension pedestrian bridge toward Baranja.

Hungary's capital, offers a unique cultural experience to visitors. Arrive in style along the River Danube, the focal point of the city which was previously used as a means to divide the city into the former cities of Buda and Pest. Budapest has become synonymous with Thermal Baths and architecture due to the various architectural styles found throughout the city. Styles include Neo-Gothic buildings such as the impressive Parliament and Budapest's beautiful Renaissance-style Opera House. The Chain Bridge which provided the age old connection between Buda and Pest is highly recommended to visitors to the Eastern European city.
