Colón is located in Limon Bay, at the Atlantic entrance to the Panama Canal and is traditionally referred to as “Panama’s second city”. Roatán is a Caribbean Bay Island that floats about 60 kilometres north of mainland Honduras. The largest of the islands, it is famous for its white sand beaches and numerous snorkelling and diving sites. Together with its sister islands of Roatán, they make up the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest coral reef in the world, which is home to diverse marine life, such as whale sharks.

The Central American port town of Belize City is divided into two halves by the Haulover Creek, which can be crossed via the manually operated Swing Bridge. In the northern half of the city, tourists can learn about the county's history at the Museum of Belize. The south side boasts colonial buildings, such as Saint John's Cathedral and the wooden Government House from the nineteenth century.

The Mexican island of Cozumel, located in the Caribbean off the coast of the Yucatan peninsula, has a rich ancient history.
