Cairns is located in the north of Queensland, Australia. The city is known particularly for being in close proximity to the Great Barrier Reef, the longest coral reef in the world, also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Daintree tropical forest which is the oldest of it's kind in the world is also only a short distance away. Cape York Peninsula is a large peninsula located in northern Australia. Fishing tours are available from although the fishing from the local wharf is excellent. Among the exciting activities that visitors can choose are boats rental, charter helicopter scenic and charter flights, horse trail riding, charter sunset cruises and croc spotting tours.
