The approximately 117-meter-high lighthouse was built in 1128 and is located in the western part of town.

The Italian town of Santa Margherita, in Ligure, is located in the province of Genoa in the middle of the Gulf of Tigullio. Santa Margherita is an elegant little harbor town with around 9,915 inhabitants and is well known among locals simply just Santa. The Terrazza Mascagni is a wide promenade on the waterfront and is ideal for taking a stroll and enjoying the views as the sun goes down on the Ligurian Sea.
