The famous french city of Avignon in the south of France, is located in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur. Avignon is known for having a Mediterranean charm. The impressive Palais des Papes, was the former seat of the Pope and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site is a very popular attraction as is the UNESCO listed Pont Saint-Benezet bridge with its distnict arches which crosses the river Rhone. There is a vibrant art scene in Avignon, with many museums, in addition to the Festival D'Avignon, a well-known arts and culture festival held in the city.

Tarascon is located 23 km south of Avignon, on the left (east) bank of the Rhône River. Its medieval castle stands on the banks of the Rhône opposite Château de Beaucaire, and near the Collegiate Church of St Martha.
The city of Arles is situated in the south of France, 24 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea . Many of the ancient Roman monuments that exist here are World Cultural Heritage sites.
Aigues-Mortes is a French commune in the Gard department in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. The medieval city walls surrounding the city are well preserved.
