La Roche-Guyon is a village located on the Seine River. It is renowned for its natural beauty and historical background which ensures it's a popular destination among tourists. Visitors will be astonished by the large 14th century chateau and the medieval donjon which offers an insight into France's medieval history.

The Seine is a 776 km long river and an important commercial waterway within the Paris Basin in the north of France. There are 37 bridges within Paris and dozens more spanning the river outside the city. In 1991 UNESCO added the banks of the Seine in Paris—the Rive Gauche and Rive Droite—to its list of World Heritage Sites in Europe.

Rouen is located about 80 miles inland along the Seine river. It is often referred to as 'the city of one hundred steeples' as stated in one of the poems of the famous french poet Victor Hugo. Although many of the buildings were destroyed during the Second World War, many of the half-timbered houses are still worth seeing. For the architecture lovers the Basilica of Saint-Ouen and cathedral will be a treat with their breathtaking sights.

Le Pecq is a town located in north-central France in the Ile-de-France region. It is one of Paris' western suburbs, only 18,4km away from the capital's city centre. Le Pecq lays astride two banks of the River Seine and includes a small island called Corbiere. The latter is partially protected as a nesting zone for migratory birds.

Lyon is located at the confluence of the Saone and the Rhone in the beautiful region of Rhône-Alpes. Lyon is a city steeped in history and the proximity of the city to Paris also makes it a popular stopover. The hometown of the writer Antoine de Saint-Exupery has a wealth of theaters and an opera. Furthermore, the Basilica Notre Dame de Fourviere is worth a visit. Lyons charming old town, Quartier Saint-Jean offers winding cobblestone streets, fantastic architecture as well as some unique cafes and shops.

Vienne is located approximately 40 km south of Lyon. To date, there are remains of Roman buildings in the city, such as the Temple d'Auguste et de Livie and a Roman theater.
