St. John is one of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Large parts of the island were bought out by the american Laurence Rockefeller in 1956 from Denmark. He is the founder of the St. John National Park which has proven to be a tourist magnet.

The seaside city of Roseau, capital of Dominica, has a rich history.
