Portobelo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a port city in Colón Province, Panama. Portobelo was as a center for silver exporting before the mid-eighteenth century and destruction in the War of Jenkins' Ear. It's ruins from the Spanish colonial period are astounishing, and quite an adventure.
