Colón is located in Limon Bay, at the Atlantic entrance to the Panama Canal and is traditionally referred to as “Panama’s second city”. Portobelo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a port city in Colón Province, Panama. Portobelo was as a center for silver exporting before the mid-eighteenth century and destruction in the War of Jenkins' Ear. It's ruins from the Spanish colonial period are astounishing, and quite an adventure.

Cartagena was founded in 1533 and is located on the Caribbean coast in northern Colombia. The walled Old Town boasts some of the most beautiful colonial architecture in South America with cobblestones and colourful facades.
