Kushiro is located in the eastern part of the Japanese island of Hokkaido and is the coldest city in Japan. When in Kushiro, you should visit the wonderful Kushiro National Park, where you will find unspoilt nature shaped by volcanoes, crater lakes and forests.
Hakodate is sitauted on Japan's northern island, Hokkaido. The Seikan Tunnel connects the city of Hakodate with Honshu, the main island of Japan. Visitor attractions are, for example, the Goryokaku, which today is a park with a museum and observation tower, the remains of the first modern forts of Japan and former seat of government of the Republic of Ezo was.
The city of Otaru is located in Japan about 30km west of Sapporo. The city lies on the island of Hokkaido in the sub-prefecture of Shiribeshi.
Jeju is the largest South Korean island. The subtropical climate attracts plenty of national and international visitors. Mountains and volcanoes traverse the island.
The Japanese seaside city of Kagoshima lies in a bay on the southwestern tip of the island. The city is sunny and friendly, it has even been voted Japan's friendliest. The very active Sakurajima volcano that sits across the bay is one of the city's main attractions. The local weather report has a special section for an 'ash forecast' as it falls regularly, coating everything, including cars, laundry and teeth. Kagoshima is often nicknamed 'Naples of the Eastern World' for its volcano and tropical climate.
