Reykjavik, with a population of approximately 120,00 may not be the biggest European capital, but it is widely regarded as an exciting destination and Icelands cultural and economic center, having been established as a city in the 18th century. Reykjavik provides the perfect base for exploring nearby landmarks such as fjords, glaciers and more. There are strong connections between the city and the Vikings, with many visible signs still remaining today, such as the Longhouse at Hofsstaðir Historic Park.

Mingan is an Innu First Nations reserve in the Canadian province of Quebec, at the mouth of the Mingan River.

The Iles des Saintes got its name from the Portuguese seafarer Christopher Columbus, who set foot on the island on All Saints day in 1493 and names it after the holiday. After long battles between England and France over the island group, it eventually officially became part of France in the year 1816.

Sydney is located in Nova Scotia in close proximity to the Cape Breto Highlands Nationa Park, which is a true natural paradise. The sight of the gorgeous scenery coupled with the interesting wildlife will make you have to pinch yourself. The park is home to moose and one can see whales off the coast of the park.
