Reykjavik, with a population of approximately 120,00 may not be the biggest European capital, but it is widely regarded as an exciting destination and Icelands cultural and economic center, having been established as a city in the 18th century. Reykjavik provides the perfect base for exploring nearby landmarks such as fjords, glaciers and more. There are strong connections between the city and the Vikings, with many visible signs still remaining today, such as the Longhouse at Hofsstaðir Historic Park.

Eskifjördur is a fishing village in Iceland. The town lies on the Fjord, after which it was named, in the eastern part of Iceland.

Klaksvik is the second largest city of the Faroe Islands. The city is located on the island Borðoy, the largest of the northern Faroe Islands. The territory has been inhabited since Viking times.

Torshavn, the capital city of the Danish Faroe Islands lies on the east coast of the largest island, Streymoy. Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland and is fast becoming a European cultural capital. The city is well-known for its connections to the Titanic. The impressive Titanic Belfast opened in 2012 and charts Belfast's rise as an industrial superpower, and showcases the huge slipways where the vessel was built. Belfast City Hall, open since 1906 stands at the centre of the city and on sunny days the surrounding grounds become a popular picnic spot. The Isle of Man’s history of insisting on doing its own thing, semiautonomous in its decision making from the UK, has led to its reputation of being a somewhat odd or alternative place, out on its own sitting in the Irish Sea.
