Rouen is located about 80 miles inland along the Seine river. It is often referred to as 'the city of one hundred steeples' as stated in one of the poems of the famous french poet Victor Hugo. Le Pecq is a town located in north-central France in the Ile-de-France region. It is one of Paris' western suburbs, only 18,4km away from the capital's city centre. Le Pecq lays astride two banks of the River Seine and includes a small island called Corbiere. The latter is partially protected as a nesting zone for migratory birds.
