Cairns is located in the north of Queensland, Australia. Captain James Cook ran aground and discovered this the fascinating reef by accident in 1770. Since 1982, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and attracts over two million tourists each year with its diverse flora and fauna. The Reef offers numerous opportunituies for discovery, popular activities include visits to the Whitsunday Islands, scuba diving, snorkelling and many more fantastic activities.
