Broome is located in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. In recent years Broome has become a popular Australian destination with Cable Beach offering numerous luxury holiday resorts. Visitors can enjoy camel rides along the beach, catch an outdoor movie and many more fun activities. Broome is often referred to as "the pearl" of the Kimberley region and there are many pearl farms located in the area which are available to the public to visit.

The Lacepede Islands, sometimes referred to simply as the Lacepedes, are a group of four islands located in the Indian Ocean off the north-west coast of Western Australia. They are Western Australia's most important breeding ground for the Green Turtle and colonies of seabirds.

The Horizontal Falls are a natural very fast moving tidal flow, located in the Kimberley region in Western Australia. The effect of the waterfalls is created by the tide building up in front of the gaps faster than it can flow through them and there can be a four metre high waterfall between the bays.

Montgomery Reef is located in Kimberley, on the western part of the australian coast. It is Australia's largest inshore reef at more than 400 km² and offers a huge array of marine life.

The River Hunter River runs through the east of Australia and offers one of the best routes to get into the country, because there are no mountains or other obstacles that must be overcome. On one side of the banks of the Hunter River wine is grown, on the other side there are popular coal mining areas.

Ashmore Reef is an uninhabited island with a rich variety of wildlife, from sea creatures to birds. In 1931, Australia gained Ashmore Reef and it became a marine reserve in 2000.
