A blend of the traditional and modernity makes Barcelona one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. With approximately 1.62 million inhabitants, Barcelona is also the second-largest city in the country. Cagliari, the largest city in Sardinia is home to the beautiful Cathedral of Caliagri which should be top on your to-visit list. The city offers beautiful sights for visiting such as its wooden carved crypts and towers, from atop of which you can enjoy a view of the entire gulf of Cagilari.

Bonifacio is located on the French island of Corsica. This city is known for its stunning location atop 60 meter high cliffs and its sandy beaches attract thousands of tourists every year.

Portoferraio is the capital of Elba in the Tuscany region of Italy. Napoleon Bonaparte's winter residence is without doubt the main attraction. The single-storey building with a garden can be visited for a fee.

The region of Liguria belongs to municipality of Porto Venere is located at the tip of a peninsula directly on the Ligurian Sea in Italy. It has 3906 inhabitants and covers about 7 square kilometers. Worth seeing are the two churches of San Pietro and San Lorenzo and the fortifications of the town.

La Ciotat is a commune in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur region in southern France. There is an artificial sand beach downtown that faces the beautiful Alps.
